My Vitriol are a British alternative rock band, formed in in ringnirasnanares.tictibevihowadeterthocorprami.co band currently comprises singer and guitarist Som Wardner, drummer Ravi Kesavaram, guitarist Seth Taylor and bassist Tatia Starkey. The band had success with their debut album Finelines in which spawned three Top 40 hit singles in the UK Singles Chart, before announcing a hiatus in Genres: Alternative rock, nu gaze.

  3. My Vitriol are Som Wardner (Vocals, Guitar & Lyrics), Ravi Kesavaram (Drums), Seth Taylor (Guitar) and Tatia Starkey (Bass & Backing Vocals). Ravi and Som met at university, where a friend of their’s undertook to record them a demo as a project for his studio-engineering course.

  5. The vocals are the least prominent aspect of the band but work well. "Always Your Way" and "Windows and Walls" are the stand out tracks for me. There's a clear shoe gaze influence at times in the vein of My Bloody Valentine but My Vitriol are more straight rock than experimental.

  7. Sep 05,  · Technically, there have been a couple of "new" My Vitriol cds to hit shelves in the past few years, namely the Cast in Amber live disk, and an even more recent ep of new material, 's A Pyrrhic Victory. The band continues to perform in the UK, but no definitive word on a new album.

  8. Isn't there a new album sampler at the end of the Cast In Amber live album? The band keep claiming that the pledge was always for "10 new My Vitriol" songs rather than the official second album, which is an outright lie. "We were half way through signing the first CD. and then, and you're not going to believe this, the pen ran out.

  9. Jan 14,  · At the end of , after three years of touring, Wardner announced My Vitriol's touring hiatus at Kerrang Weekender. Their song "Always Your Way" was voted in as one of the best alternative songs by Xfm listeners. The band recorded a cover of Elliott Smith's "Bottle Up & Explode!", upon hearing of the singer-songwriter's death in October.
